ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian is sore, but he said Wednesday he is feeling better than when he left this past Sundays victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a left shoulder injury. Siemian said he believes he will play on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.I think so, I think thats the way Ill go into it, Siemian said. ... I think were all getting ready to play.Siemian left Sundays 27-7 victory over the Buccaneers just before halftime with the injury, which is to his non-throwing shoulder, and did not return. Siemian was evaluated by the Broncos medical staff Monday. He has received treatment each day this week. The Broncos held Siemian out of Wednesdays practice -- he didnt throw during any of the open period -- but he did take part in the teams walk-through portions of the on-field work. Rookie Paxton Lynch worked with the starting offense in practice. Lynch would get the start against the Falcons if Siemian cant play.Following Wednesdays practice, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said Siemian will be re-evaluated Thursday before a decision is made about how much Siemian will practice. Kubiak also said Siemian has a good enough understanding of the offense that if Kubiak chose to, the coach could even wait until Sunday to determine whether Siemian can play.Id take it all the way to game day, Kubiak said. I trust Trevor, he knows exactly what were doing, hes very bright, hes on top of everything [Wednesday], hes a part of the walk-throughs and everything were doing ... well just see where he is physically. I think hes progressing well.Siemian suffered the injury when he was sacked by Buccaneers defensive tackle Clinton McDonald just before halftime. To make the tackle, McDonald swung Siemian around and tossed him down directly on the left shoulder.Siemian could throw with the injury, but there is some question about his ability to protect himself with his left arm and what would happen, at least at this point in the week, if he landed on the shoulder in a game.Siemian had his first career 300-yard passing game in a Week 3 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. He was 5-of-7 for 68 yards and a touchdown at the time of Sundays injury.[Im] better than I was [Tuesday], Siemian said. I feel pretty good right now, and Im just taking it one day at a time. Its still early in the week, and hopefully I can just continue to get better.Including the playoffs and the Super Bowl, the Broncos have won their past nine games. They have used four quarterbacks in those nine games: Peyton Manning, Brock Osweiler, Siemian and Lynch. Were confident in anybody we have back there, said Denver running back C.J. Anderson. For the season, the Broncos have won all four of Siemians starts. He has thrown for 824 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. Tom Seaver Jersey .
