NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Predators have signed forward Nick Spaling to a one-year, $1.5 million contract. General manager David Poile announced the deal Thursday. Spaling, 24, from Drayton, Ontario, tied for fourth with nine goals in 47 games last season. The 58th selection overall in the second round of the 2007 draft, Spaling has played in 226 games with the Predators and has 52 points.
