BOSTON -- Boston Red Sox right-hander Steven Wright will not be available for the American League Division Series, manager John Farrell confirmed Friday.Wright, who is rehabbing his injured right shoulder, threw 35 pitches in a bullpen session Thursday at what Farrell said was 70 percent effort. While it was considered a step in the right direction, Farrell said there is not enough time for Wright to be ready once the ALDS rosters are due before next Thursdays Game 1.Its likely he throws two more pens, the next being Monday, before we would look to alter his program -- in other words, start to see hitters, Farrell said.Wright hasnt pitched since Aug. 31, when he gave up four runs on seven hits and three walks in four innings against Tampa Bay.Farrell said he has not set his postseason rotation, but he has Rick Porcello going Friday against Toronto. That would give Porcello, a Cy Young Award candidate, five days of rest before a likely Game 1 start.Farrell did indicate that he is not planning to use Porcello or his Game 2 starter, likely to be?David Price,?on three days rest in Games 4 or 5. That could mean that Clay Buchholz and Eduardo Rodriguez will both make starts if the ALDS extends beyond three games.Cant say today were sitting here with our Game 1 starter coming back on short rest, Farrell added. That may change based on extra innings or weather-related situations, but as of now, no.While the rotation is not set in stone, the roster also remains a work in progress. Brock Holt is starting at third base and batting second against Blue Jays right-hander Marco Estrada on Friday, further indication that the Sox have their man going forward at the hot corner.Holt has started three of the past four games at third. This is the time of year where youre looking to the current best lineup you can put on the field, and were fortunate his versatility has shown up in a couple of ways, Farrell said of Holt. Hes a confident defender at third base, and his skill set is different than the other guys. Against right-handed pitching, that could be the guy we go to at this point. The bullpen is largely set, but left-hander?Drew Pomeranz could throw himself into the mix. Pomeranz is working his way back from a forearm issue and threw a bullpen session Thursday, and Farrell said he wants to get him into a game over the weekend.Theres a number of things that are still in the balance here, and well get more clarity once we get through Sunday, Farrell said. Theres still roster decisions to be had. The opponent is going to have a lot to do with that. The Sox enter Friday two games behind Texas for the best record in the American League and a half-game up on AL Central champ Cleveland, which might play a makeup game in Detroit on Monday if anything in the standings remains up in the air.Cheap Air Max 97 Green China . -- Whether Jeremy Hill deserves a prominent role in LSUs offence this early in the season is a matter for debate. Didnt matter. Nobody was going to catch her anyway. The long-distance runner who gave up the bronze medal at the world championships last year by celebrating too soon left no room for doubt at the U.S. Track and Field Trials on Saturday. She outdistanced second-place finisher Emily Infeld by nearly five seconds in the 10,000 meters, never coming close to the finish-line stumble in Beijing, when Huddle slowed and raised her hands a step before the tape. That day, the hard-charging Infeld shouldered her way past for the bronze medal.I dont think Ill ever get over it, said Huddle, who finished in 31 minutes, 41.62 seconds on a hot afternoon at Hayward Field. But Im trying to move past it and not dwell on it, not let it steal anymore from me by fixating on it.Huddle insisted she learned from the mistake, even if the lesson was a tough one. On Saturday, Huddle took the race out at a brisk pace so that not many runners would follow the lead. There were four for a while, then three and finally just Infeld and Huddle with a lap remaining. Just to be safe, Huddle cranked it up another gear to pull away from Infeld.Still, Huddle couldnt help but cast a quick glance at the scoreboard near the finish, just to make sure Infeld wasnt gaining ground. She wassnt.dddddddddddd No celebration, though.I was just relieved, Huddle said. I didnt want any disasters to happen. There were certainly a few chances for one, like when a discus rolled across the track during the middle of the race. No one was bothered by it.Or when Kim Conley -- a prerace favorite -- was stepped on and lost a spike. She had to stop to put it back on, costing her valuable time. So much that she elected to call it a day early and save her strength for the 5,000 on Thursday.I tried to catch up, but the leaders were too far ahead, said Conley, a 2012 Olympian. For Huddle, this was business as usual. What happened last year, Im mad at myself, Huddle said. But I was glad that another American placed. I wouldve felt worse if it werent one of my teammates.Theres no animosity between Huddle and Infeld. Theyre friends, and remained so even after the episode last year. That would be a better story (if we werent friends), but thats not true, Huddle said.Whats true is this: Infeld is heading to her first Olympics. For that, the 26-year-old from Ohio thanks LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. After watching the Cavs, I better step up my game, Infeld said. Its such a special moment. ' ' '
