This marks the first tournament victory the organization has to their name, an important accomplishment for a team that seemed to always fall short. The road they traveled was not easy, as they started out the day taking on the hometown heroes, Team SoloMid. Despite the unavoidable T-S-M chants that plagued the crowd, Unicorns managed to crush the org in back-to-back games to come back from a Game 1 loss. The play of Zdravets Hylissang Galabov and Fabian Exileh Schubert were on an entirely different level, however, and the two players carried their team head and shoulders over the finish line.On the other side of the bracket, Flash Wolves lived up to their reputation for crushing South Korean teams as they easily swept Longzhu Gaming and aadvanced to face the Unicorns in the finals.dddddddddddd Unfortunately for the Flash Wolves, the other half of their reputation also proved true; they proved far less formidable when matched up against a team from any non-Korean region. Still, the match was intense enough to prove a worthy successor to the World Finals, and the entire roster of both teams had ample opportunities to prove themselves. At the end of the day, though, Game 5 turned into a Unicorns stomp, and they were crowned the champions to the approval of the crowd. They now return to Europe in demonstrably hot form, and with both Exileh and Hylissang already noted as the best or among the best players in their respective regions at their roles, Unicorns look set to perhaps make the EU LCS title theirs at long last.
