Parramattas horror year punctuated by a salary cap scandal, player misdemeanours and boardroom squabbles has resulted in an incredible $11 million loss. The massive financial hemorrhaging was announced in a letter penned by interim Eels boss and Parramatta Leagues Club CEO Paul Bevan on Tuesday. In the letter written to Leagues Club members and Eels fans, Bevan described the Eels annus horribilis as tumultuous. The Leagues Club will pick up the loss, which Bevan described as unacceptable and unsustainable, but will still post a profit in the neighbourhood of $4 million. The $11 million shortfall, the biggest in NRL history, included:* $1.12 million in fines and penalties as a result of sanctions from the NRL over salary cap indiscretions* $1.24 million to consultants and legal adviser, a significant part of which funded failed Supreme Court legal battles on behalf of the ousted Gang Of Five directors* $952,000 in player terminations, including Anthony Watmough and Kieran Foran, with around the same amount paid in fines and penalties.* $700,000 in lost sponsorship revenue* $742,000 provision for sponsorship bad debtThe impact on the club and members funds is unacceptable and unsustainable and urgent action was needed to mitigate these issues, Bevan wrote. There is more work to do on the Eels and a premiership to pursue however the biggest bushfires are out or under control.I look forward to the commencement of incoming Eels CEO Bernie Gurr and all Eels members and fans can look forward to a better year in 2017 under his guidance.Bevan outlined a number of changes the club had made to ensure a brighter future. Those included a salary cap management overhaul and the cessation of legal action against the NRL.After years of uncertainty the Club now has 100 per cent confidence in its cap and has confirmed this status with the NRL, Bevan wrote. The recent round of signings and re-signings for the Eels has been actioned with complete certainty of compliance with the salary cap.Bevan outlined a number of changes the club had made to ensure a brighter future. Those included a salary cap management overhaul and the cessation of legal action against the NRL.After years of uncertainty the Club now has 100 per cent confidence in its cap and has confirmed this status with the NRL, Bevan wrote. The recent round of signings and re-signings for the Eels has been actioned with complete certainty of compliance with the salary cap.The Eels were hit with a 12 premiership points deduction for their salary cap dramas which effectively ended their year.Star playmaker Corey Norman added to the clubs troubles when he was found guilty of drug possession and banned for six weeks by the NRL as a result of that brush with the law and a number of other off-field dramas.Winger Semi Radradra is facing allegations of domestic violence. But the that might not be the end of the Eels troubles with Bevan writing of an investigation currently being conducted by the NSW Fraud Squad into invoices to the Eels that were allegedly inflated.I would like to make clear that the intervention of the NSW Police is in relation to possible offences committed against PLC members by individuals associated with the Football Club, Bevan wrote. This is an ongoing investigation and the Club intends to keep members updated as much as possible.Max Domi Jersey .C. -- Glenn Howard needed an extra end to move into the Masters Grand Slam of Curling final. Saku Koivu Canadiens Jersey . Dusautoir, the former World Player of the Year, sustained a torn bicep playing for Toulouse in the Heineken Cup on Saturday. The flanker, who has played 65 times for France, is expected to be out for up to four months. http://www.canadienssale.com/authentic-paul-byron-canadiens-jersey/ . Despite dominating possession, Schalke needed an own goal from Nicolas Hoefler for the breakthrough a minute before the interval. The Freiburg midfielder misjudged Jefferson Farfans corner and bundled the ball into his own net. Xavier Ouellet Jersey . The Vikings announced Thursday that Priefer will be one of seven holdovers from the previous staff, along with offensive line coach Jeff Davidson, wide receivers coach George Stewart and others. Norv Turner will mark his 30th year of coaching in the NFL as the offensive co-ordinator, as widely reported for weeks, and George Edwards will be the defensive co-ordinator. Jesperi Kotkaniemi Canadiens Jersey .Y. -- Vancouver Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo had little trouble picking up his first shutout of the season against a Buffalo Sabres team thats having trouble scoring goals. As part of ESPN Fantasys efforts to give daily gamers intel on whom to target in DFS, our fantasy golf experts are here to share which players they view as building blocks for this weeks RBC Canadian Open. The panel for the Canadian Open features ESPN.coms Will Harris, FantasyGolfInsiders Jeff Bergerson, Zach Turcotte, Taras Pitra and Jason Rouslin, and Dailyfantasybootcamps David Jayne.Note: Golfer salaries listed are for DraftKings. Will Harris -- Colt Knost ($7,100) Knost is peaking at age 31 (his 74-75 at Troon was just his second missed cut in 21 starts this year). Knost, this years Tour leader in driving accuracy and putting inside 10 feet, has been threatening to break through with his maiden victory. He followed a third-place showing at The Players with two more top-four finishes in four starts since. Theres no hiding his poor track record at Glen Abbey that consists of two missed cuts and a tie for 48th, but well chance it with a guy whos inside the top 20 in the betting order yet outside DraftKings top 50.David Jayne -- Luke List ($6,600) The par-5s at Glen Abbey have surrendered an astonishing 143 eagles in the last two timesit has hosted the Canadian Open (2013 and 2015). List is one of the best on tour this year at making birdie or better on par-5s, and in his only start here in 2013 he played the par-5s in 11-under par. Although List has made only 10 cuts this season, he has finished inside the top 30 an impressive 80 percent of the time hes made the cut. This upside coupled with the expected high ownership of Matthew Fitzpatrick makes List a great pivot at this price for tournaments.Jeff Bergerson -- David Hearn ($7,900)Last year the Canadian player came really close to winning his home countrys national open, but ended up with a solo third-place finish. After a rough start to 2016, Hearn has bounced back and put up nine top-30 finishes and has made the cut in his last six tournaments. His $7,900 price this week is really good, eespecially considering the lack of depth in this field.dddddddddddd Hearn is a really strong play in both GPPs and cash games this week.Zachary Turcotte -- Daniel Summerhays ($7,000) Why is Summerhays priced at $7,000 this week? Considering there are players making their PGA debut at the Canadian Open who are priced higher than Summerhays, I am totally baffled by this glaring value. Summerhays has missed just three cuts in 21 starts this season and recently finished in the top 10 at Oakmont in the U.S. Open. He has made nine straight cuts overall and finished in 11th place at Glen Abbey a year ago. Summerhays is a solid putter, and although he does not get a lot of distance off the tee, he has knocked in plenty of birdies, particularly on par-5s this season. He is easily my favorite value play of the week.Jason Rouslin -- Chad Campbell ($6,800)In three starts at Glen Abbey, Campbell has finished 11th, 16th and 26th, so it seems that he is familiar and comfortable with the course. Plus, hes coming off a decent performance at the Barbasol (35th) and has made the cut in his last five starts. I like the direction his game is heading as well as his past performances at Glen Abbey. He has great value at just $6,800. Look for him to stick around for the weekend for his sixth-straight cut and be in position to finish in the top 20.Taras Pitra -- William McGirt ($7,700) McGirts missed cut at The Open should be thrown out the window, as it was his first time playing in the event and the course didnt play to his strengths. Instead of fading him based on an outlier missed cut, Im strongly suggesting him for GPPs this week. His course history (34th, 2nd) and current form (aside from the Open, he recently finished 7th, MC, WIN, 47th, 43rd, 17th) indicates a consistent player with good upside to build around for your cash teams.
