CHICAGO -- Chien-Ming Wang and Jose Bautista gave Toronto a chance, and two late miscues by the Chicago White Sox gave the Blue Jays a win. Bautista hit a game-tying home run in the ninth inning and Rajai Davis scored on a wild pitch in the 10th to lead the Blue Jays to a 7-5 win over the White Sox at a dimmed U.S. Cellular Field on Tuesday night. Wang made his first start of the season after signing with the injury-riddled Blue Jays, lasting 7 1-3 innings while giving up five runs and 10 hits to help Toronto avoid a three-game losing streak. "I thought he did a great job," Gibbons said. "He really did." During the 10th, there was a brief delay after a handful of bulbs in the light standards above the infield at U.S. Cellular Field went out as Ramon Troncoso (0-1) prepared to throw his 2-1 pitch to Adam Lind. Following the delay, Davis scored on Troncosos wild pitch. Toronto took a 7-5 lead when Maicer Izturis came home on Munenori Kawasakis double after Tyler Flowers dropped Alexei Ramirezs relay throw for Chicagos third error of the night. Brett Cecil (2-0) went 1 2-3 innings for the win and Casey Janssen pitched a scoreless 10th for his 13th save in 14 tries, getting Adam Dunn to ground out with runners on first and second to end the game as the lights returned to full strength. "Its baseball season. Were happy tonight and tomorrows a new day," said Lind, who had three hits. "Another tough game tomorrow, their ace (Chris Sale) is on the mound so we know what were in for." Wang started the season at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in the Yankees organization, but opted out of his minor league deal last Friday after going 4-4 with a 2.33 ERA in nine starts. Wang has spent seven seasons in the major leagues, five with the Yankees, but last started at least 15 games in 2008. Tuesday was only his 26th start since then because of a series of injuries. Before Tuesday, Wang hadnt pitched in any game since June 1, when he threw seven shutout innings against Durham. His previous major league start was Sept. 23 against the Brewers, and his last win was June 12 of last year against the Blue Jays, when he was with the Washington Nationals. Manager John Gibbons said Wang will get another start for the Blue Jays. To make room for Wang, the Blue Jays designated IF Andy LaRoche for assignment. LaRoche was 1 for 4 in one game with the Blue Jays. Before Tuesday, Blue Jays relievers had thrown 18 innings over their last three games, including 11 during their 4-3 18-inning win Saturday over Texas. Wang struggled through the fourth, allowing five runs to fall behind 5-2, but settled in and gave the bullpen a rest. He escaped a bases-loaded jam with no outs in the fifth by striking out Paul Konerko and getting Dunn to line into a double play. "Im very happy to be back and thank you to the Blue Jays for giving me a chance and opportunity to play baseball in the major leagues," Wang said. The White Sox, meanwhile, gave Toronto ample chances to get back into the game. Chicagos three errors gave the Blue Jays three unearned runs. The three errors gave them 42 this season after 70 last year, and theyve now given up 23 unearned runs after surrendering 30 in 2012. They also made mistakes on the bases. Dayan Viciedo got caught stealing in the second, Alejandro De Aza was picked off first in the third, Gordon Beckham was thrown out at third by Bautista in the fourth and Ramirez was doubled off second in the fifth on Dunns liner. "We kept shooting ourselves in the foot running the bases," Chicago manager Robin Ventura said. "Any time you lose like that it doesnt feel good." Jose Quintana pitched 6 1-3 innings, giving up four runs (two earned) and six hits while striking out five to leave with a chance for his first win since May 21. Dunn hit a solo home run, his 17th of the year, and Conor Gillaspie hit a three-run homer off Wang in the fourth to give Chicago a 5-2 lead. Even after Edwin Encarnacions two-run home run in the fifth cut the White Sox lead to 5-4, Chicago was one out from a win until Bautista connected off closer Addison Reed. "I felt great out there," Reed said. "One bad pitch and the next thing you know it, tie ballgame." White Sox OF Dewayne Wise worked out before Tuesdays game, and Ventura said he hopes he can go to Triple-A Charlotte "in the next few days" on a rehab assignment. Wise has been on the DL since June 2 with a strained right hamstring. . Toronto C Henry Blanco, who was designated for assignment June 7, has been released. . The White Sox returned LHP Leyson Septimo from his rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte, reinstated him from the 60-day DL, and outrighted him back to Charlotte. . WATERLOO, Ont. -- The course was dry but the greens remained soft at the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic on Saturday. Players aimed straight at the pins for a third straight day and the scoreboard was loaded with low scores as a result. South Koreas Hee Young Park shot a career-low 61 to move into sole possession of top spot at Grey Silo Golf Course. Her 20-under-par 193 total left her one shot up on American Angela Stanford and two strokes ahead of Scotlands Catriona Matthew. With 21 players already in double digits at 10 under or better and course conditions likely to stay the same, expect a shootout on Sunday. "When you see everybody going low, you have to go with them or youre going to get left behind," Stanford said. Parks three-round score was the best 54-hole total on tour this year and it was just the 11th time a play has shot 61 in tour history. She almost went one better -- nearly chipping in for eagle on the 18th before tapping in a short putt for her sixth birdie on the back nine alone. "I finished really well, finished (with) the birdie, so its going to be fun tomorrow," she said. Matthew (68) started the day with a three-shot lead on Stanford (64) but fell back with a double-bogey on the par-3 12th hole. She followed with a birdie and got another stroke back with a birdie on the final hole. "Yeah, didnt maybe click quite as well today, didnt hit it quite as close," Matthew said. "Had a lot of chances but just kind of left a few, and then a silly double on 12, kind of getting a bit greedy going for the hole and just pulled it. "Nice to come back with a couple birdies." Meena Lee of South Korea was three shots off the lead after a 65, while Swedens Anna Nordqvist shot a 67 and was five shots off the pace. South Koreas Inbee Park remained in contention after a 67, good for a ninth-place tie at 13 under. Park has won her last three tournaments. "I had a lot of opportunities today but missed a lot of putts," she said. "I mean I hit the ball the way I wanted to, thats the positive part to take away. Hopefully the putts will go in tomorrow."t; Lorena Ochoa was the last player to win four straight LPGA tournaments, accomplishing the feat in 2008.ddddddddddddNancy Lopez holds the tour record with five consecutive wins in 1978, a mark equalled by Annika Sorenstam over the 2004-05 seasons. The sunny, warm and breezy conditions held steady throughout the day on the 6,330-yard par-71 course. American Gerina Piller got things started early in the afternoon with a 62, taking a stroke off the competitive course record. Her mark lasted for about two hours. Park hit a slick four-foot tester for the 61 as the gallery roared its approval. She smiled, waved and tossed the souvenir ball into the grandstand. "Its anyones game," Piller said. "Like today if you get someone that gets hot with their putter and I mean, its a free for all. The course is in great condition. "Like I said the greens are soft, so thats kind of a green light for us as pros that we can just kind of throw darts and it makes it a whole lot easier." Jennifer Kirby (69) of Paris, Ont., was the top Canadian at 7 under. Charlottetowns Lorie Kane (70) and Brooke Henderson (71) of Smiths Falls, Ont., were next at 6 under and Hamiltons Alena Sharp (69) was at 5 under. Matthew said she believed anyone within seven strokes of the lead might have a chance on Sunday. Stanford, meanwhile, had predicted earlier in the tournament that the winning score would be in the 20-under range. Now she thinks 25 strokes under par might be needed. "We see a couple courses throughout the year that give up some birdies, but theyre the best players in the world and if you give them soft greens, its like letting, what, the kid go after candy," she said.
