SPIELBERG, Austria -- Lewis Hamilton hopes Mercedes will not feel the need to implement team orders following his last-lap collision with Nico Rosberg at the Austrian Grand Prix. The team was set for a one-two victory until the second corner of the final lap when Hamilton found himself pushed wide as he tried to overtake Rosberg around the outside. As Hamilton turned in, Rosberg continued forward and the two made contact, resulting in Rosberg dropping to fourth around the remainder of the lap with a broken front wing. After the race team boss Toto Wolff said team orders would now be considered ahead of the British Grand Prix to prevent a repeat, but Hamilton hopes it will not be necessary.I wouldnt say my heart sinks [when I hear they are talking about team orders], it takes a lot to get my heart to sink but I want to race, he said. I grew up wanting to race, and to get to Formula One and race the best and be the best by out driving another individual.I think they showed a replay of maybe Michael [Schumacher] and Barrichello many years ago [2002 in Austria] and I was disappointed as a fan back then and we never want to see team orders like that ever happen. The great thing is that Toto and Niki [Lauda] have been great these past three years in allowing us to race and thats what racing is about, and its not always going to be blue skies and perfect, but thats motor racing. Every engineer and mechanic has been through Formula Ford, Formula Renault and the different categories and seen the goods and the bads and they know that these things can happen. Were driving at 200+mph and you expect us to drive around and never, ever, ever have a problem? I doubt it. So I hope that it doesnt change and I hope that we can continue to race. Thats just my honest opinion from my love of this sport.Hamilton said he did not want to start attributing blame, but made clear that he felt he had left Rosberg enough space.I dont really know what to say about it, its not something I go out to get involved in. I dont go out to get caught in a collision. Today as you could see I drove as wide as possible within the white lines, so I left a lot of space. Three cars could have come on the inside of me there so... For sure as a team boss and for the team, the team want to finish first and second and thats our goal, thats my goal and obviously I want to be at the front of that 1-2.But certain circumstances have led us to where we are today and we have a lot more races ahead and were going to continue to race. Im fighting for the world championship so were going to keep fighting and hopefully through these experiences there will hopefully be no more or a lot less than what weve had so far this year. Hopefully they are just a blip in the midst and well continue racing forwards. Wholesale NBA Store . PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- Running back LeSean McCoy is approaching his second season in Buffalo with an intention to be better. As a player. And a leader. In his first news conference this offseason, McCoy said he came to that realization a year after a series of injuries severely hampered his production, and following a headline-grabbing brush with the law in Philadelphia.Ive got lots to prove this year, you know, McCoy said Friday, a day before Buffalo opens training camp outside Rochester. A lot of people are doubting me and doubting this team, this offense. So Im big into answering a lot of doubts.McCoy was reflective in discussing how relieved he was when no charges were filed against him following an investigation into his role in a nightclub brawl involving off-duty Philadelphia police officers in February. Prosecutors said they could not prove who initiated the fight in which two officers were injured. And they said its legal for a person to act in self-defense or the defense of others.Though noting he was proven right in saying he did nothing wrong, McCoy said he never should have put himself in what he called a bad situation. As a leader, the guy that I want to be for this team, things like that just cant happen, McCoy said. I mean, you dont hear other guys like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady getting into incidents like that.As for his on-field performance, McCoy spent the offseason training to strengthen a body that showed signs of wearing down last year.Oh, man, Ill tell you what, I went back to that old `Rocky mentality, McCoy said. I put all the Bentleys and Rolls-Royces away and got to work.Listing himself at 210 pounds, McCoy said thats the lightest hes been since 2010, his second season in the NFL.Oh man, Im back, the 28-year-old McCoy said. Im ready to get out there and perform and come here to do what they brought me here to do, and thats to make big plays.McCoy got off to a slow start after hurting his left hamstring in training camp last year. He later hurt his right sshoulder and then missed the final two games because of a right knee injury.ddddddddddddHe finished with 895 yards rushing and five touchdowns, including two receiving, in 12 games.Though the Bills led the NFL in yards rushing last season, McCoys production failed to meet expectations after Buffalo created a buzz by acquiring the leagues 2013 rushing leader in a trade with the Eagles. It also didnt help that he caused a few distractions by voicing his displeasure with former Eagles coach Chip Kelly for trading him.In May 2015, McCoy questioned whether Kellys decision to trade him was racially motivated. In December, in the week leading up to Buffalos game at Philadelphia, McCoy was blunt in saying he would not shake hands with his former coach.Having never been traded, McCoy said, in retrospect, he didnt realize how much of an adjustment it would be in a new surrounding with new teammates. To be honest, that took some time mentally, but now Im passed that, he said. I want to be the guy to lead the Buffalo Bills to where we need to go.McCoy was notably upbeat and vocal on the field in practice last spring. He would clap his hands and encourage teammates.Oh, Ive been rolling, McCoy said during a brief interview with The Associated Press in June. Its my year.Asked why, he answered: Thats the player I am.Bills coach Rex Ryan notices a difference in McCoys approach. He doesnt want to put his team in a negative light, and I think he sees that, Ryan said, adding McCoy physically looks five years younger. I think he is motivated.McCoy is expected to get limited practice and playing time through training camp and the preseason to keep him fresh for the regular season. The goal is to get me healthy to the season, McCoy said. Thats the main thing, and I can be the player that I was brought here to be.---AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP-NFL ' ' '
